This is yet another example of the generosity and kindness of the KidLit community. I was first made aware of the community’s compassion with donations made to the Lismore flood victims, and here is yet another example. I’m not a published author (yet!) so am unable to donate, but I WILL be bidding!!

We know we’re not alone in being devastated by the terrible scenes coming out of Gaza. The awful scale of suffering, which is borne disproportionately by children. Now, on top of months of bombardment, there are children dying of hunger. No child should experience what these children are going through. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who has donated items to this auction and to the bidders, we will raise funds to support charities who are providing aid to children in Gaza, such as the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, Olive Kids, Médecins Sans Frontières and APHEDA. We will provide a full breakdown of funds received and where they were allocated when the auction ends. We are so grateful to everyone who has rallied around this cause. We continue to call for an immediate ceasefire.
